country. Other young men we welcomed into the School House community during the year were Year 11 students Liam Cassidy and Louis Elworthy, and Year 12 student Mago Kawamura. A number of activities and events throughout the year brought the entire House community together – starting with Athletics Day. The morning saw the boys wrap up and win the Field Events Cup. This was followed by lunch in the Housemaster’s garden overlooking the Avon River. In the afternoon School House pushed Harper House to the end of the day, but nevertheless finished as runner-up.

For House Music the boys chose to sing “Renegades” by X Ambassadors. Tim Bassett led and conducted the House choir and Edward Hsing provided backing music on the acoustic guitar. A large number of parents supported this event. We again celebrated our mothers by hosting our third Mother’s Day High Tea in May. The Reaction House Plays Festival is always another popular event. Bright-eyed and bushy- tailed – Luc Botherway, Jamie Burdon, Tom Chaffey, George Clarke, Nico Elworthy, Will Gould, Jamie Ireland, Matthew O’Connor, Gus Pavey and Jack Sutherland were ready to take on the challenges and adventures secondary school and boarding have to offer. And what a great job they have done throughout the year.
