An immersive journey through food, music and tradition with Rosa Matto, Lino Cardone, Nancy Colarco and Julie Musolino Low. Step into the vibrant heart of Southern Italy, where culture is expressed through the rhythm of music and the simplicity of food. Five iconic dishes will be prepared that define the regions of the South. Arancini, Orecchiette con Cime di Rapa, Parmigiana di Melanzane, Pesce all' Acqua Pazza, Traditional Celebration Sponge Cake. As the dishes come to life, so do the sounds of Southern Italy. Lino Cardone will bring several small, adult accordions and other instruments for you to learn the rhythms of the folk music and we will learn the steps of the hypnotic dance styles of the region, from the pizzica of Puglia to the tarantella of Calabria. ROSA & DAVID - LANGUEDOC ROUSSILLON Languedoc-Roussillon is actually a culturally rich region in southern France, stretching from the Rhone Valley to the Spanish border which accounts for the many Spanish influences. Languedoc- Roussillon is the largest vineyard region in France. Try the unique Picpoul de Pinet, which is bone-dry with mouth-watering acidity. The region is a rose powerhouse, producing fruit-driven, deep-coloured aromatic roses. Enjoy also a GSM from Minervois, with its ripe red fruits and savoury, spicy notes. These three wines will be matched with the famous entrees of brandade de morue and chichoumeille cassoulet: a rich slow-cooked bean stew typically containing duck, pork and sausage and considered the Region's signature dish, and finally Galette des Rois.
