His run two starts back in a strong TAB Turnbull Stakes suggested he was on track but he struggled to make inroads in the Caulfield Cup when battling into tenth. 3200m at Flemington will suit, but he isn’t well in at the weights and has the task ahead to turn the tables on key rivals, especially from the widest barrier.
