Assumptions: 1. No New Students - The BA in Biochemistry offers an option to students who would typically drop the BS Biochemistry program. 2. Additional SCH Generation - Addition of one academic year (fourth-year) for those students who would typically not complete the BS in Biochemistry The BA in Biochemistry offers an option to students who may be interested in secondary teach (dual major required).
The BA in Biochemistry offers an option to students who may be interested obtaining an undergraduate degree prior to enrolling in a professional program (e.g. phamacy) which do not reuire a degree for admissions. The BA in Biochemistry offers an alternative to the BS in Biochemistry when certain barrior courses (e.g physival chemistry and multivariable calculus) would cause students to change majors or stop out completely. 3. Tuition Revenue Fulltime tuition based on 10 credit hours per term for three terms. Set annual tuition at 2% Calculate COTS' persentage of new SCH generated at 35.59% per FY21 college revenue distribution. 4. No Additional Costs
All upperlevel courses proposed in BA in Biocheistry are currently on the schedule and not at maximum capacity Enrollment in Chemistry classes has decreased over the last 3 years, this will help in sustaining all chemistry programs.
