Community Happenings Autumn
Music, art and new life Ye Old Brass Band had us singing along to old favourites, and music therapy, watercolour classes and happy hour entertainment kept the weekly calendar full. One of the quietest but loveliest moments of the season came when three little chicks hatched right before our eyes, from tiny cracks in the eggs to fluffy new life, with the room full of smiles and awws.
The Biggest Morning Tea We hosted the Biggest Morning Tea in the new Chapman House, with a talented harpist setting the mood and bright yellow and blue worn throughout the room. In the lead-up, our art therapy sessions took inspiration from the event, and some of the pieces created may be entered into the upcoming Redcliffe Show. Celebrations through the season Easter brought a morning tea, a visit from the Easter Bunny and presents for all. St Patrick’s Day gave us plenty to laugh about, with potato bowls, tossing the gold coin into the pot of gold, an art session and themed bingo.
