Senior School Outdoor Education Update

At the end of last term 39 pupils from Years 8 - 12 went on a ski trip to Pila in the Aosta Valley. The resort in the North Italian Alps boasts spectacular views from Mont Blanc to the Matterhorn, and with great weather for most of the week, this stunning panorama was the back drop to some wonderful skiing. The group was relatively inexperienced as a whole but after a few days even the beginner's were exploring the resort and making the most of some great early season skiing conditions. Progress was rapid due to some good instruction and very enthusiastic pupils. Apres Ski activity highlights included Ice skating, bowling and an 'all you could eat' pizza evening. The hotel food was also very well received, although it took some pupils a few days to work out that the pasta course was just a starter (after their third helping!) The entire group were wonderful company, positive, enthusiastic, well organised, and sensible. They all had a brilliant trip and were an absolute credit to the school. Thank you to all pupils and staff for such a memorable trip. More photos will be available on Flickr soon.
