Welcome WendyWilson, AGM/Director of Aquatics
On November 1st, Wendy Wilson joined the staff at Army Navy Country Club. With both a business and aquatics background, Wendy is excited to bring her knowledge, expertise, and past experiences to Aquatics at ANCC. Highlights of her career and background include: Business Background •16+ years in the telecommunications space (Time Warner Cable) responsible for program/product management, field marketing, communications and media relations primarily focused in the high- speed data space growing the line of business from infancy to a $6.4B/12.7M customer base •5+ years Public/Community Relations for the Washington Redskins - creating and implementing team and player sponsor programs, out- reach, and events Swimming and Coaching Background •25+ years of coaching experience (swimming and soccer) - Age Group Coach for the Mason Makos club team (George Mason University in Fairfax, VA) and Developmental Coach for Swim with Beth (Fairfax, VA) •Masters swim coach •Club/Age Group, High School, and Collegiate swimmer

Beginning on Saturday, 7 April - Swim and Dive Team Registration will be located on the Aquatics section of the website and is open to all Junior Members 18 and under with no size limit restrictions. We will have opportunities for all abilities with the coaches evaluating swimmers to make sure they are placed in the appropriate group. More information related to swimmer placement and groups will be available soon. On Sunday, 22 April from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, the Annual “Suit Sizing” will occur. Team suits will be available for purchase and pick up from stock on hand. Team shirts, sweatshirts, caps, goggles and an assortment of ANCC apparel will be available for purchase. If stock runs out, we will take orders for pick-up as well. The complete swim team and dive team practice and meet schedules will be posted on the ANCC website soon. For planning purposes, both the swim team and dive team will have afternoon practices starting the week of May 28 until middle of June. We will then switch to morning practices for the remainder of June and July. The season wraps up with our end of season banquet on Friday, 27 July.
