Balises de vitesse sur la rue Blais

Lamunicipalité de Russell a placé une de- mi-douzaine de balises de vitesse, aux deux extrémités de la rue Blais, à Embrun, afin de pousser les automobilistes à ralentir. Ce projet pilote a été mis en place suite aux préoccupations sur la vitesse dans le voisinage, aux alentours du Parc Yahoo et près de la piste cyclable. Three households in the Maple Grove Road neighbourhood have lost the family cat in the past month and there is suspicion that they may all have fallen victim to a fisher using the nearby Castor River as its hunting ground. All of the missing cats vanished during the night and the disappea- rances happened two days apart and from homes which have yards backing onto the woodlands bordering the river. One resident in the area spotted what may have been a fisher near Route 400 earlier in August. Local animal control is not equipped to deal with a fisher if one is present. The name of a trapper was provided to families who have lost their cat if they wish to join together to hire him to try and catch whatever is responsible for taking their pets. – Gregg Chamberlain
Township accounts in the black Russell Township council received a welcome report from a representative of Deloitte and Touche, the accounting firm responsible for auditing the municipality’s financial records.
