relative. Just ask any 12-year-old on a roller coaster. They are in 7th heaven, yelling, screaming, and counting the minutes until they can do it again. Meanwhile, most of the adults are holding their heads and stomachs or not riding at all. Full disclosure, I do not ride roller coasters with my kids anymore, but I do stand in line with them. If you think about it, that quality time with your kids is the best part, assuming you don’t let them just stare at their phones. (My 12- and 15-year-old kids don’t have phones, in case you were wondering.) Let’s get back to fear, difficulty, and danger being relative. We are just coming off the Super Bowl, and the MVP wide receiver Julian Edelman told a story before the game about his first talk with head coach Bill Belichick. They were both leaving the facility at 11 p.m., and Julian said to the coach, “Wow, you must really like football.” To this the coach replied, “It beats being a plumber.” Some people think working seven days a week and 18 hours a day is “difficult,” while others like Bill Belichick think there are worse professions out there. As entrepreneurs, we are 6 percent of the workforce in America, according to a 2016 study by the Kauffman Foundation. The rest of the 94 percent think starting a business is too difficult, and they are afraid to do it. What do we know that they don’t know? We just have a different mindset and a different perspective. I remember interviewing Darren Hardy for my groundbreaking documentary, “Words of Art.” (You can watch it for free on Amazon Prime.) During the off-camera time, Darren shared a great insight Where Is the Line Between BOLD and Stupid? MARCH/APRIL 2019

“There is a fine line between being bold and being stupid; every time you take a new adventure, the line moves.” –Matt Crossman We have all heard that fortune favors the brave, so what does brave mean, anyway? Here’s the definition I found: having or showing mental or moral strength to face danger, fear, or difficulty. What’s interesting is that danger, fear, and difficulty are all

Connect Before You Pull Have you ever wondered why it’s so hard to get your spouse to do certain things? You know the ones I’m talking about. Year after year, it’s the same result. No matter what you do or say, they don’t do it. What gives? The simple truth is that a Happily Ever After marriage is like two railroad cars. You may be thinking that’s an odd analogy, but stay with me. When two railroad cars come together, they “couple” or become linked. Once connected, they can handle massive amounts of weight and stress while holding firm to each other. However, before they can pull each other along, they have to be connected properly. You may be trying to pull your spouse to greatness, but you will stay frustrated with your lack of results unless you truly connect. You have to connect before you can pull. Even if your spouse

daily routine and letting your body cleanse itself. Jesus gave us the answer 2,000 years ago to living healthy and having “Life to the Full.” When the disciples asked Him how to pray, he said, “Give us today our daily bread.” See? Eating carbs is biblical! What he was really saying, and what is echoed in his other talks, is the importance of simply focusing on today. The world is all about selling us the magic remedy to make up for all our poor daily choices. It’s a lucrative business, and since it’s easier to take a pill or magic potion than it is to change, most people stay caught in the doom loop. But I know you’re not most people because if you were, you wouldn’t be investing your time reading this article. So how do you leverage the power of the daily detox? It’s simple. Just eat fruit as your first meal of the day, every day. Fruit is the ultimate magic bullet. It contains special enzymes so your body can instantly absorb its nutrients, and all the fibers keep the GI track happy and things moving along. Best of all, it creates a daily detox. For those of you who are already on the “Apple a Day” program, stay with it — the more fruit the better. The best part is that it doesn’t matter what fruit you choose. You can be like me and have the same fruit for breakfast every morning, or you can mix it up. It doesn’t matter. Any extra fruit you eat during the rest of your day, like an apple, is a bonus. Some days, you may eat four or five pieces of fruit for breakfast, and other days it may just be one. It’s okay because this is a no-stress program. Just eat fruit as your first meal of the day, every day, and watch what happens.

HEALTH IS THE REAL WEALTH

Did you know that the period from 4 a.m. to 12 p.m. is your body’s natural detox time? Your body is attempting to detoxify itself, but because many entrepreneurs stack so much unhealthy food in their bodies and have the additional stress of running a business and lack of exercise, the body has a hard time keeping up. Detox products and “cleanses” are the all the rage these days, but they are not the answer. The answer lies in your Live the Detox Lifestyle

I have a friend named Joshua. He was happily married with kids, but unfortunately, he didn’t maintain the connection with his wife, and divorce eventually followed. They had joint custody and, for the kids’ sake, they remained civil toward each other. Joshua learned from his mistakes and realized he need to grow in many areas, thus beginning his journey into personal growth and life change. In order for things to change, Joshua realized he had to change, and in order for things to get better, he had to get better. As if by magic, once he changed, everything changed for him, and his relationship with his ex-wife took on a new color. They soon began to “date” again, and after being legally divorced for many years, they were recently re-married! No matter what state your marriage is in, it’s not too late. Start working on the connection and watch what happens. My bride and I are cheering for you. YOU CAN DO IT! Here is a special bonus video to encourage you. It’s a sizzle reel from my bride’s and my new hope-based reality TV project we are working on. Let us know your thoughts after you watch it by emailing mythoughts@EvanMoney.com. with me. We were talking about investment strategies, and he asked if I knew what investment pays the biggest returns of all time. I assumed it was real estate, but I was wrong. Darren explained it was owning a business. I did some quick calculations and realized I started my first business with literally no money, and that business has produced close to 20 million dollars and is still producing. That’s a really good return no matter how you look at it. For the first 0–5 years of my business, very few people even understood what I did, and many called it stupid. It’s a good thing I had a different perspective. Now I’m going to encourage you to take a different perspective and realize there is something you have right now that is far more valuable than any business in the history of the world. What could that possibly be? It’s your health and your relationships. Think about it: The only thing you can take to heaven besides yourself is other people, not your businesses. The famous theologian Dallas Willard explained that it’s not a question of what Jesus would do, but rather how He would live your life. How would Jesus run your business? Good question! It’s critical to point out that Jesus was in business for over 15 years, and He only spent three years in ministry. If anyone can relate to entrepreneurs, it’s Jesus. How can you maximize your health, relationships, and spiritual life today? ... continued from cover Video: https://vimeo.com/311572418 password: happy

has given you the green light to help them in a certain area, without a solid connection, the railroad car isn’t going anywhere. Or worse, you may have a weak connection that allows you to pull for a little bit, but once you start uphill and the real stress hits, you disconnect, and all the momentum is lost, magnifying the hurt and frustration. So how exactly are you supposed to connect? If you’re asking that question, it means you didn’t do the exercise from the last newsletter, or you started and then life got in the way. Go back to it and work through all the questions. One of the best fill-in-the-blank statements on that list is “I feel the most loved when you …” Whatever the answer is, DO IT! Consistently. That is the world’s best way to connect with your spouse. Once connected, the pull to greatness will happen naturally, as if by magic. You never have to focus on the pull; just focus on the connection. Unlike the railroad cars, the connection must be maintained DAILY! That’s right. It’s an everyday love affair. Rather than bemoaning that fact, simply make it a lifestyle. It’s just like with your health: If it’s a lifestyle, you are never falling off the wagon and getting back on. The momentum works in your favor and will carry you to excellence. In fact, what would your life look like if you made excellence in your marriage a lifestyle? I personally challenge you to do this. The rewards of joy, harmony, and ecstasy await you. Take Action and start now, and you will be so glad you did. WisdomSource From the PROVERBS 26:10 TPT “Like a reckless archer shooting arrows at random is the impatient employer who hires just any fool who comes along — someone’s going to get hurt.” You get out what you put in. Too often we are so busy working in our businesses that we don’t take the necessary time to work on our business by prepping for an interview. Every position is a mission-critical hire; remember the pain, loss of revenue, and massive stress from your last bad hire? Better to catch it on the front end by taking the time to have a quality interview.

Money Talks Negativity Walks

Excerpts From Evan’s #1 Best-Seller

Just for today, choose something wonderful. You may discover a family walk around the block smelling the roses is a great investment of time. Whatever it is, Take Action, and do it NOW! Your wonderful life awaits.

“Life is life; it’s the choices we make that determine how wonderful it is.” My friend John Maxwell laid that one on me, and it’s so true. The question I have for you is this: When was the last time you even talked about having a wonderful life? Most of us get entrenched in our day-to-day activities. For the stay-at-home moms, it’s diapers, drudgery, and dishes. For the employees, it’s the grind of a daily commute and life in a cube. For the entrepreneurs, it’s payroll, overhead, taxes, and bills. We get inundated with the urgent, and worse yet, we scroll through social media and look at everyone else’s “wonderful life” and feel more dissatisfied with ours. Let me remind you that we all can make choices that can make our lives more wonderful, right now. I encourage you to take action, exercise these choices, and do something wonderful today. Imagine if you invested 20 minutes and flew a kite with your kids or just enjoyed coloring with them. What if you hired a sitter, grabbed your bride, and rented a nice hotel room for the night downtown? Oh, I know you’re “so busy,” but relax. All the daily tasks will be there when you get back.

Losers take chances. Winners make choices. –Denis Waitley
