Association for Consultancy and Engineering This association represents the business interests of the consulting and engineering industry. www.acenet.co.uk Building Information Modelling (BIM) Task Group This body is responsible for helping to deliver the objectives of the Government’s Construction Strategy and the requirement to strengthen the public sector’s capability in BIM implementation. www.bimtaskgroup.org Chartered Institute of Building This is a representative body for skilled managers and professionals in the construction industry. Chartered member status is represented by the designations MCIOB and FCIOB. www.ciob.org.uk Civil Engineering Contractors Association (CECA) This is a membership organisation to help promote the positive contribution of civil engineering. Their members range from large well known national names to smaller sized companies operating on a regional level. www.ceca.co.uk

Construction Industry Council This is a representative forumwhich occupies a key role within the UK construction industry providing a single voice for professionals in all sectors of the built environment. www.cic.org.uk Construction Industry Training Board This is an executive non-departmental public body which works with construction companies to improve skills and increase competitive edge. www.citb.co.uk Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) This is a non-departmental public body that helps fund new affordable housing to create successful communities. They also regulate social housing providers. www.gov.uk/government/organisations/ homes-and-communities-agency Infrastructure and Projects Authority This was created by the merger of two government bodies – Infrastructure UK (IUK) and the Major Projects Authority (MPA) – with the aim of bringing together government expertise in the financing, delivery and assurance of major infrastructure projects.
