TRAINING FACILITY COMES HIGHLY RECOMMENDED…

Topplumber praises Bassetts’ Heating InnovationCentre as ‘veryworthwhile’ experience

T he new Bassetts’ Heating Innovation Centre has been heralded as an important step in the plumbing and heating industry’s journey towards a greener future. The cutting-edge training centre, at the company’s Clady branch, provides installers and self-builders with the opportunity to learn about the advantages renewable heating offers. And Northern Ireland’s Plumber of the Year 2021, Thomas Hynes was suitably impressed by the facility during a recent visit. Thomas was given a tour of the centre and shown the full range of products on offer, including brands from market-leading manufacturers

such as Grant, CTC, Domus, Viessmann, Baxi, Glo+, Heatmiser, Worcester Bosch and Gledhill. “It was a great experience and very worthwhile,” Thomas said. “Before I went, I knew very little about the renewable sector, but the tour left me really interested and wanting to learn more. “I would definitely recommend all plumbers who are keen to learn more about renewables to pay the centre a visit.” The Heating Innovation Centre – the first of its kind in Northern Ireland - marks the latest move in a long-term investment strategy by Bassetts. By providing training at its tailor-made facility, the award- winning plumbing merchants aims

to enable both commercial and domestic customers to strive towards a greener future. The introduction of renewable technologies is the single biggest evolution in the plumbing and heating sector in NI, and Bassetts is determined to offer contractors and installers the skills, support and service they need to thrive in the renewable heating sector. The centre displays a variety of operational heating solutions, including heat pumps, solar, mechanical ventilation and underfloor heating. Self-builders can see working models of heating systems available to their project. Chris McCready, Manager at the Heating Innovation Centre, said: “This facility is aimed at plumbers and self- builders to educate them and show the new models on the market. Plumbers and heating engineers can avail of training, see the full product range, get hands- on experience and help with their initial design of the system.” From boilers, radiators, water heaters, pipes, valves, underfloor heating to bathrooms, showers, tiles and everything in-between, Bassetts branches across the province cater to every plumbing and heating need. The company has been operating in Northern Ireland for over 40 years and, with 16 strategically located branches, is the province’s largest plumbing and heating merchants.
