Eased down and finished a distant last. Vets examination revealed a slow recovery and the filly to be lame in the near foreleg. M V 28/01/2023 Lay inwards in the straight. A post race veterinary examination revealed the filly to have returned with a slower than normal recovery and to be lame in the off-hind. Trainer was advised a veterinary certificate will be required prior to trialling or racing again.ASCT 05/02/2023

Held up for clear running from the 500m to the 150m. FLEM 18/02/2023 Slow to begin. Raced wide until allowed to stride passing the 1200m to lead the field. Weakened from the 300m. Rider reported the effort asked of the gelding in the early stages to obtain a position closer to the rail resulted in being unable to finish off as expected FLEM 18/02/2023 COT: To settle further forward; settled off pace. Rdr was unable to offer any explanation for the performance of the gelding, which he considered was disappointing in manner in which it responded to his riding, particularly over final 200m. A post-race vet exam did not rev any abs. RHIL 28/01/2023

Began awkwardly, resulting in its rdr becoming unbalanced momentarily. Approaching 600m improved up onto heels & was steadied. When qst re riding in the straight, rdr std he had anticipated settling in the box seat, however, was left back further than anticipated & on the rail. Std after straightening he commenced to angle out around heels however, he chose to shift back to improve towards the inside. Std in making this decision he assessed there was no opportunity for him to improve wider. Std he was held up from the 300m until 150m & once afforded clear running, mnt closed off reasonably. RAND04/02/2023 Vet exam prior to race and was passed fit to start. Raced wide and without cover from the 800m. Rdr could offer no explanation for performance. Post race vet exam revealed no abs. SANH11/02/2023 Rider explained the filly raced keenly before striding forward when successful at Warrnambool (1/2/2023). In today’s event it had been the intention for the filly to settle with cover. He highlighted he was able to obtain the favorable position trailing the eventual winner. FLEM 18/02/2023 On jumping was hampered, and from a wide barrier was shifted behind rnrs in the early stages.
