Leadership in Action – AUNZ English – 201512-201601

Show up: Attend live events, including Convention and Launch. Every Marketing Executive who has experienced personal growth can share stories of how their “moment” happened at a live event. Success belongs to those who show up on purpose; it never happens by accident. Watch how things change for you when you start intentionally owning your personal development. Remember my story about top Directors Mandy and Julie? They’re going to pile into a van with their teams and drive over 950 kilometres from Reno, Nevada, to our ADVANCE Regional Leadership Conference in Idaho Falls on September 19. That’s a 9-hour drive to be at ADVANCE. Now that’s leading on purpose. Plug in: Connect with others. Enrollees: connect with your enroller and their support team. Enrollers and support team: connect with your organisations. Stay plugged into weekly and monthly team calls, Fast Tracks , Power Hours and one-on-one mentoring sessions. You will expand your network and deepen your relationships with others in your area. As you build these relationships with others, seek out those you can help reach their goals and watch how your personal growth accelerates. One of the great ironies in life is that you accelerate your personal growth by simply taking the focus off yourself and focusing on others instead. Get a coach: The most successful people in any industry work with coaches, including top athletes and CEOs. I’ve worked with an executive coach for years, and I’m happy to say he’s now one of my best friends. Coaching is one of the best things you can do to continually improve. Where do you find a coach? The best coach you’ll ever have is probably your enroller or someone in your Support Team. However, you have an additional resource open to you. I’ll tell you a secret only the most successful take advantage of: Melaleuca has a team of highly trained Executive Coaches here in Idaho Falls who work exclusively with people like you who are the most committed to changing their lives and the lives of others. True to our mission, this service is complimentary. The only payment needed is your commitment to be coachable and to consistently do the activities necessary to reach your goals. Look for their smiling faces in this Leadership in Action magazine, and contact your coach today! Among our coaches, one of our favourite quotes is from improvisational instructor, Martin De Maat: “You are pure potential.” 3 STEPS to jump-start your relationships and your personal growth

She taught us how to team up, work together, and keep our excitement ignited with weekly team calls and lots of check-in texts, calls, and emails. She taught us to be proud of Melaleuca and proud of the work we do. “In the last year (a year that she was pregnant, had a baby, and moved across the country), she managed to fly out to Reno three more times to help my team. She’s helped do the same thing for my partners in Chicago and Colorado. She’s taught me a lot about leadership and who I want to be. She’s taught me to make personal short-term sacrifices for the greater good of my team in the long run. She’s taught me to dig in and do everything for my team that I would want done for me, and to do it with grace. She’s taught me never to complain to my team, but instead to find learning opportunities from our obstacles. She believes in me and is the first one to congratulate me when I advance, and the first one to help me get a game plan together when I don’t. I’m in this for the long haul now, and my family will forever be grateful for Brooke.” Where are Mandy and Julie now? Both have a coveted spot on the list of top Directors for North America. Julie’s latest three cheques have averaged US$1,944, and Mandy’s have averaged US$3,050. Thanks to the relationships they have built, their lives have been changed for good. In turn, they are transforming the lives of others. Like all our teams, they are forging a chain of change for good that goes on and on. Develop Your Destiny Time and time again, we have seen our Marketing Executives bloom in ways they never have before. How many traditional jobs put their employees in the driver’s seat and let them choose when they get a promotion and when they get a bonus? How many traditional jobs provide unlimited access to professional development trainings? How many traditional jobs acknowledge and celebrate every step toward success? Trips, getaways, personalised career coaching, recognition in a magazine, face time with the CEO—this is not the kind of treatment most people get from the companies they work for, but that’s what you get with Melaleuca. For stay-at-home parents, there’s no such thing as a promotion or a raise or an employee-of-the-month award. Raising children is the most important job there is. While it is extremely rewarding, for parents who stay at home full time it can be draining, lonely, and thankless. The relationships, recognition, and growth Melaleuca provides while enabling stay-at-home parents to focus on their families is an aspect that many, many Marketing Executives treasure. Melaleuca’s emphasis on wellness doesn’t stop at heart health or at financial freedom. Melaleuca offers business builders personal growth and development that isn’t found elsewhere—at least, not t hat I know of. I’ve had many, many Marketing Executives share their stories of personal growth. People who are afraid of public speaking are giving stellar Melaleuca Overviews. Quiet and shy types have become comfortable reaching out and making new friends. North American Executive Director 2 Molly Pretzlaff has come out of her shell when it comes to social media and is connecting with others in a way she used to be uncomfortable with. Even our Marketing Executive of the Year North American Executive Director 6 Missy Markiewicz has talked about the leadership qualities she has developed that she didn’t have before. The fulfillment our Marketing Executives experience here is life-changing. With Melaleuca, people are able to reach goals they didn’t even know they had!
