EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS 5 ADVANCEMENTS NEW

Macy & Christopher Lee SOUTH CAROLINA Growing Outside the Comfort Zone

my computer and accepting book club invites, participating in neighborhood hangouts, and going on walks. I was even stopping to talk to people in their driveways! It allowed me to meet so many people in our neighborhood within a short amount of time.” This new focus allowed Macy to use her time more efficiently around the activities of her five busy children. “I feel like it eliminated a lot of the back and forth that happened between approaching, presenting the Melaleuca Overview, and enrolling someone,” she says. “Instead of waiting for responses to phone calls and texts, I could do everything in one conversation—and I was getting back a lot of my time! I loved being able to go across the street to my neighbors with my flip-book Overview and just show them the store really quickly and help them shop.” Her new focus and mindset helped Macy learn new skills to accomplish another important goal: developing new leaders. “There have been a lot of times throughout my business where I’ve had that negative voice in my mind questioning everything I was doing,” she remembers. “It was a nasty a little voice that smashed my confidence. But I learned that it’s easier to develop new Directors and Senior Directors when you help them have little wins right away, and I realized that just giving a confidence boost makes developing leaders so simple!” Now she’s excited to reach new heights hand in hand with her new leaders. Her next goal is to walk across the stage at Convention 2021 with four personal Senior Directors.

And Florify ® Daily Probiotic immediately improved Macy’s digestive issues. “That’s when we knew we were in this for the long haul!” she says. Today, the Lees are grateful for their residual income and the flexibility of a Melaleuca business. Over a year after she began building, Macy took a month off from the business when her triplets were born. After Convention 2018, Christopher was able to stay home with their children. And just last year, their residual income allowed the Lees to move their family from Illinois to South Carolina to pursue new opportunities. Leaving the state she grew up in gave Macy the opportunity to step out of her comfort zone and learn how to be better at connecting with people face to face instead of online. “When we moved to South Carolina, I had to get comfortable talking to people in person and having them in my home,” Macy explains. “I began to be more intentional about leaving

“If I could give two tidbits of advice to every business builder, it would be this,” Macy says. “First, take your gate down and just let your Regional Managers in; their help is fundamental to a successful business. And second, there’s no flat spot in your business that you can’t enroll yourself out of.”
