It became really easy to share them and build a business.” So what does the future hold for Desiree? “Graduating college has always been a big, big goal of mine,” she says. “I’ve always had this vision of creating my own company around female empowerment.” Certainly this determined young lady would be able to reach her goals no matter what, but her Melaleuca business has made reaching those goals easier. Not only has her Melaleuca income helped her pay her college expenses in full, but building a business has been a bit like an internship. It’s given her experience and confidence that she’ll use when she starts her own company one day. “Melaleuca has helped me build my confidence,” Desiree says. “I have really bad anxiety. A year and a half ago, I wouldn’t have pictured myself having the confidence I have right now. I’ve put myself out there with Melaleuca. I’m training team members and giving Melaleuca Overviews. The more I engage in my business, the more my confidence skyrockets. I am further ahead now because of Melaleuca. It’s helped prepare me for the future.” Desiree is proof that you don’t have to have years of experience or an extroverted, outgoing personality to be a successful Marketing Executive. She has some advice for others who also deal with anxiety: “Believe in yourself. Keep yourself in high spirits no matter how scary something may seem or how anxious you may be. Stay consistent and keep pushing because the more you push, the easier it gets. You will eventually overcome all your fears.” LH

If there’s one thing Executive Director 2 Desiree Massengill has learned about Melaleuca, it’s that there’s something for everybody here. With over 400 wellness products, customers of every age and household will find something they love, month after month. As a junior at Kennesaw State University, Desiree wasn’t sure whether she’d find many Melaleuca customers among her student peers. “At first, I didn’t think that people in my age bracket would be into the products,” Desiree says. “But to my surprise, they really are.” Desiree herself loves the products. As a rising member of Generation Z, it’s no surprise that she has a robust social media presence. When others learn more about what she loves about the Melaleuca products she uses, she’s able to reach out with product-based approaches. As her enrollments increased, it became more and more clear to Desiree that Melaleuca has something for everyone. Rather than holding back based on someone’s age or circumstances, Desiree learned how important it is to be open about Melaleuca with everyone. “I saw that building a business is simple,” Desiree says. “I don’t have to stress over it. I love the products. They are
