EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS 2 ADVANCEMENTS NEW

Bryan & Maria Pereira FLORIDA Melaleuca Is Home

there aren’t even words for that. Melaleuca is a part of us; it’s just home.” Part of that feeling of home comes from Melaleuca’s emphasis on relationships. After all, Melaleuca is business of relationships. Maria has certainly experienced that. “We have built some of the best relationships here,” she explains. “It’s so incredible. This is the best possible business you can do from home. It’s crazy to me. The Compensation Plan, the lack of investment needed to get started, the people—it’s everything. Everything is encompassed in this company.” Maria may have strong feelings for Melaleuca, but she cautions her team not to let their feelings interrupt their business-building efforts. “This is a very emotional business,” she explains. “We are all building relationships with one another, and so the team members we work with become family. Some days it can be easy to get caught up in the emotions of everything to the point where the emotions can take away from the actual business. For example, you can be super high one day and down in the dumps the next. So if you can’t learn to stay at an even keel, then the business is going to feel a lot harder. I believe that if we can learn to stay focused and driven beyond that emotional roller coaster, then together we are unstoppable.” Based on Maria’s success and the goals she has set, she and her business family will truly be unstoppable.

Talk to anyone who has experienced it and they will confirm that Melaleuca is a different kind of company—a special place. Many even refer to it as home. That’s certainly how Executive Directors 2 Maria and Bryan Pereira feel. “Melaleuca has always felt like home to me,” Maria says. “All of our best memories—soul-enhancing memories—are here. I can’t even really describe it in words, but it is such a part of our lives that I don’t think it could ever not be part of us.” Maria’s perspective on what makes Melaleuca so special is largely influenced by her previous attempt to earn income for her family by trying network marketing. “I built a business with a company that promoted success by working at home,” she says. “I was very successful by their standards. According to them, I was doing great. This was really scary because even as they were celebrating me I was thinking, ‘I’m not even paying my bills so I don’t know how this is such a good thing.’ I was broke and being celebrated for my success. It didn’t make sense.” So Maria came to Melaleuca. She came home. “When you don’t know what else is out there, it’s hard to realize what we have here. But for people who have been burned by those ‘work from home’ companies, to come here and realize how safe we are, well,
