NATS TIE THE SERIES AGAINST CARLETON PLACE

The Rockland Nats tied the series against the Carleton Place Canadians with a win on Sunday. CCHL playoffs are underway and the Rockland Nats are up against first-place Carleton Place for the first series. After two games, the series is tied 1-1. Game 1 The first game of the series, on Friday, March 16, in Carleton Place, was a tough one for the Nats. The Canadians took home a victory of 6-2. Tim Theocharidis opened up the scoring for the Canadians late into the first period. His team then came out strong in the second period, scoring three more – Samuel Knoblauch, Aidan Girduckis and Nick Pryce were the scorers. Antoine Leblanc scored the first Nats’ goal seven minutes into the second. Trevor Coykendall gave the Nats hope with his powerplay goal at the end of the period, bringing the score to 4-2. The Canadians were not finished, however. Joshua Gagne scored an early third period goal and Girduckis clocked his second goal of the game to bring the final score 6-2. Game 2 The Nats came out motivated for their home fans in the second game of the series, on Sunday, March 18. The Nats took home a

second star, saving 39 of the 41 shots Car- leton brought his way. Canadians’ Tupcker earned the third star for the goal that led his team to overtime. The series continues in Carleton on Wednesday, March 21, and then back in Rockland for the fourth game on Thursday, March 22.

Les jeunes du Club de patinage de Clarence Creek ont offert toute une performance dimanche dernier, alors qu’avait lieu à l’aréna CIH de Rockland leur spectacle de fin d’année. Avec le thème Autour du monde en 80 jours, les spectateurs ont été transportés aux quatre coins du globe. Les numéros ont mis à l’honneur l’Italie, l’Espagne, les Caraïbes, la ville de New York, Hawaii, l’Australie, l’Écosse ainsi que l’Égypte. Bien que la saison annuelle ait pris fin, le Club a annoncé qu’il offrira une saison de patinage de printemps.
