PERSON SPECIFICATION The successful candidate will be able to demon- strate the following attributes: Qualifications • Educated to Degree level in a relevant property re - lated discipline, with membership of a professional body, eg RICS, RIBA, or APM or equivalent. • Chartered Member of the Chartered Management Institute or be willing to commence this within first 12 months of employment • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and relevant IT skills. Experience • Substantial relevant experience of management of a team with a successful track record. • Demonstrable evidence of delivering high value and complex projects on time and within quality and budget requirements, including experience of acting in an advisory capacity to project manage - ment teams. • Experience of developing and implementing Programme and Project management governance systems, processes and reporting structures. • Can demonstrate excellent negotiation skills. • Experience of developing and administering stand - ard forms of construction, primarily NEC 4 & JCT • Experience of developing and advising on project cost plans Knowledge and Understanding • A wide knowledge of all aspects of the construction industry and have substantial experience. • Evidence of on-going training and continuing professional development Skills and Abilities • Strong communicator with the ability to lead a large team of construction professionals • IT literate with knowledge of Microsoft applications and bespoke CAFM systems. • Effective oral and written communication skills to be able to work effectively with peers and stake - holders. • Be a team player, self-motivated, responsive and be able to work under pressure to meet the needs of the University.

TERMS & CONDITIONS Hours of Work The hours of work for this position are 37 per week. Length of Appointment Permanent appointment. Starting Salary The salary for this post is Grade 9 (£55,457 - £64,262). Annual Leave Annual leave entitlement is 30 days plus statutory holidays throughout the year. This is pro-rated for part- time staff. Pension You will be auto-enrolled into the Career Average Revalued Earnings (CARE) Pension Scheme (Local Government Pension Scheme) on appointment. Qualifications In accordance with our pre-employment processes, we are required to verify qualifications for successful candidates. We will need evidence of those essential qualifications listed in the person specification and claimed on the application form, by way of original qualification certificates. Car Parking A paid parking permit is available to staff via a monthly payroll deduction. This is operated through a waiting list which you will be eligible to join on appointment.
