S tudent -R un C redit U nion P rogram In January 2011, Atomic Credit Union made history by establishing Ohio’s first elementary Student-Run Credit Union within Jackson City Schools, in Jackson, Ohio. Atomic now partners with over 70 schools in Southeastern Ohio.

• Create a new generation of wise savers and borrowers • Long-term relationships between the credit union and school districts How it Works A fully-functioning branch is set up within the school. With the assistance of Atomic employees, students operate the day-to-day function of a credit union, including accepting new member applications and processing deposits. Beginning in 5th grade, students can apply for a position at their Student-Run Credit Union. The student will proceed through a real-world interview process and be chosen for a position at their branch, which includes Branch Manager, Data Entry Clerk, Bookkeeper, Member Service Representative, and Teller.
