Proaudio Sound Press: Music seems to be an integral part of your life, with a wide range of interests from Hip-Hop to Rock and live concert performances. How do these varied musical interests influence your work as a DJ, music producer, and sound engineer? TradeMarc: Music is the most important thing in my life after my family. My parents introduced me to various music styles from an early age, and each genre has played a role in my creative palette. Interestingly, my personal Spotify library is made up of over 15 custom playlists, covering genres ranging from Rock to Drum & Bass, House, and even Classical and Orchestral compositions - all for daily personal listening. Additionally, I have a custom playlist called ‘Demo’ that contains the best songs for setting up and listening to various audio systems. My diverse musical influences and frequent visits to live concerts around the world act as a constant source of inspiration and have helped shape my unique identity. Proaudio Sound Press:You’re well known for your organization when it comes to rekordbox and playlisting. Can you share your methods for staying so organized, and how it enhances your performances? TradeMarc: Over the years, I have become known for my ability to use rekordbox and Pioneer DJ equipment to its fullest potential. In my opinion, every DJ should be using rekordbox.To ensure a smooth DJ performance, I prioritize organization, especially when it comes to rekordbox and creating playlists. I frequently update and categorize my music library by genre and energy levels for easy navigation during gigs. Creating playlists for different moods and venues allows me to be flexible, while the cue point, color, and rating features in rekordbox help me make quick decisions during live performances. I am a little over-meticulous when it comes to organization, but it makes me comfortable and confident behind any Pioneer DJ system, allowing me to deliver my best performance and create an immersive experience for the audience. How do you maintain such versatility, and what do you enjoy most about being able to mix different styles seamlessly?
