ASSAULT, SEXUAL ASSAULT, THREATS TO LIFE A 28-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on January 14 and charged with as- sault, sexual assault and threats. His name was not released as it might identify the victim in the matter. THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH A-14-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on January 13 and charged with theft under $5000 and two counts of breach of probation for failing to keep the peace and for not abiding by house rules. His name was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act. MISCHIEF A 39-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on January 14 and charged with mis- chief. His name was not released as it might identify the victim in the matter. FRAUD Patricia Boismenu, 23, of Cornwall, was arrested on January 14 and charged with fraud under $5000. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on the February 20. BREACH A19-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on January 14 and charged with breaching her recognizance for associating with her boyfriend despite being on conditions not to and failing to keep the peace. The woman was taken into cus- tody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as the recognizance stems from a domestic incident and might identify the victim in the matter. Angeline Ceaser, 18, of Cornwall, was arrested on January 15 and charged with breaching her recognizance by being away from her residence. The woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and transported to police headquarters where she was held for a bail hearing. Police also executed a Probation warrant that was in place. Cory Sabourin, 35, of Cornwall, was arrested on January 15 and charged with breaching his undertaking for having been away from his residence without su- pervision, attending a specific store and failing to keep the peace. Police were contacted and located the man at the store. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. A 14-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on January 18 and charged with breaching his recognizance for not abiding by house rules, being out past curfew and failing to keep the peace. The youth was later released with a court date of February 13. His name was not released as per provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act. BENCHWARRANT Shari Gagnon, 45, of Cornwall, was arrested on January 15 on the strength of a warrant. She was taken into custody and held for a bail hearing. THEFT UNDER $5000 Blake Atwell, 38, and Sherry Atwell, 36, both of Cornwall, were arrested on Janu- ary 17 and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of their probation order for failing to keep the peace. Both were taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on February 20. CARE AND CONTROL Darryl Sirard, 29, of Cornwall, was arrested on January 19 and charged with care and control while driving with a blood-alcohol level of over 0.08. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released with a future court date. Michael Ellis, 35, of Laval Quebec, was arrested on January 19 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol level of over 0.08. The man was taken into custody during a traffic stop and charged accordingly. He was later released with a court date of January 28.

With only weeks before the big show, the many actors were busy during a rehearsal that took place at the Cornwall Collegiate and Vocational school on January 16 eve- ning. The cafeteria tables were full of costumes. Micheal de DeWolfe, one of themany actors, expressed that he had taken on the lead role of Marius, as he had fallen in love with the musical when he first witnessed it. The play will be featured at the Aultsville theater on February 7, 8, 13, 14 and 15 at 7:30 pm and on February 9 at 1:30 pm. Tickets can be purchased at the Civic Complex box office, one hour before the presen- tation (depending on availability) or online at admission.com.
