DN GET TO KNOW OUR TEAM Core Physical Therapy & Sports Performance is proud to sponsor and assist Central Catholic High School in hosting its 7 on 7 and Lineman Football Camp. The camp is primarily a fundraiser for Central Catholic Athletics and serves as a great event for area schools as they prepare for the upcoming football season. Dr. Blake Barbera was raised in Thibodaux, LA where he attended E. D. White Catholic High School and Nicholls State University. He attended physical therapy school in Florida at The University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences, where he obtained his Doctorate of Physical Therapy. After attending school and working in Florida for 7 years, he returned home and joined the Core PT & Sports Performance team in January of 2017. With over 7 years of orthopedic physical therapy experience, he has a vast background in manual

therapy, Graston Technique, Cupping Therapy, myofascial release, and a Certification in Dry Needling. Blake enjoys helping people on their journey through rehabilitation to allow each individual the opportunity to return to their daily activities, hobbies, or any goals they hope to achieve. He enjoys the family environment that has been created for the staff and patients at Core PT, and hopes that the care provided to each patient allows for the greatest opportunity for a successful rehabilitation process.

Often, arthritis is a downward spiral of progress pain, limiting movement and strength, which in turn causes more inactivity and pain. ARUGULA, GRAPE, &SUNFLOWER SEED SALAD

INGREDIENTS • 3 tablespoons red wine vinegar • 1 teaspoon honey • 1 teaspoon maple syrup • 1/2 teaspoon stone-ground mustard • 2 teaspoons grapeseed oil

• 7 cups loosely packed baby arugula • 2 cups red grapes, halved • 2 tablespoons toasted sunflower seed • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme • 1/4 teaspoon salt • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

DIRECTIONS Combine vinegar, honey, syrup, and mustard in a small bowl. Gradually add oil, stirring with a whisk. Combine arugula, grapes, seeds, and thyme in a large bowl. Drizzle vinegar mixture over arugula; sprinkle with salt and pepper. Toss gently to coat.
