THE

DUAL BUTTON ADVANTAGE

The SnapLok® Dual Button connection is the fastest on the market due to the fact that less rotation is needed to engage the buttons once joined together.

The dual buttons increase the torque capabilities of the connection because the load is spread over two buttons. All buttons are stainless steel for smooth operation of the connection and strength that further increases the torque capabilities.

The dual buttons make it impossible to disengage while rotary cleaning because both buttons cannot be pressed at the same time while spinning in the flue or vent.

The dual buttons also provide more control when working with tools from above as they hang straight. Single button connectors can cause the rods to drift off at an angle since the weight pulls on the fitting/single button at an angle when several rods are attached.

The buttons have a tapered front allowing the male and female to be quickly and easily connected without having to depress the buttons creating a "push lock" connection.

History

"The Next Generation of Sweeping Equipment"

Dear Sweeping Professional,

As the original designer and patent holder of ButtonLok Tile Breakers and RoVac vacuums, I helped drive the industry’s adoption of rotary cleaning and high-powered HEPA systems. I was first contacted in 2013 by dissatisfied sweeps in the UK looking for The Next Generation of Sweeping Equipment. From there, SnapLok was designed to make rods faster and easier to connect, as well as more durable and affordable. I soon established Mark Hart as my master distributor in the UK and across Europe. Mark and his company, Rotary Power Sweeping (RPS), have done a phenomenal job expanding the SnapLok footprint. Several years later, following continued growth in the USA, Copperfield picked up the line. I recently decided to partner with HY-C to bring proven SnapLok products, exceptional customer service, and new advancements to the field. HY-C’s 75-year history of quietly supplying high-quality, long- lasting products to chimney professionals resonates with me. With this next step in our relationship, I am excited to work together to pioneer even safer and more innovative solutions for the chimney sweep industry. SnapLok has become an industry standard worldwide, with distributors in more than 23 countries. Even with HY-C’s involvement, Copperfield will continue to carry SnapLok products. As HY-C and I move SnapLok forward together, I eagerly anticipate adding roof safety, improved cameras, better vac filters, and other innovations to help sweeps be safer, more secure, and more successful than ever. Solid Nylon Rods w/Stainless Steel Fittings Widely used for 6" liners and prefab (manufactured) fireplace cleaning as well as other sizes of liners from 5"–8" but can also be used as a leader rod in tight bend situations with the larger rods. They have great flexibility with excellent durability. They are also great for rotary cleaning 6"–10" branch runs in air ducts. They have the "large" SnapLok® fittings and directly connect to the larger rods below.

Open Fireplace & Large Air Duct Rods

5/8" dia. Solid Nylon Rods w/Stainless Steel Fittings These rods have a good mix of flexibility yet somewhat ridged for a wide range of power sweeping applications. Good as leader rods or stand alone for smaller flues but generally too stiff for liner cleaning. For rotary cleaning from the bottom up on taller flues, we recommend using 3 or 4 5/8" rods then add 3/4" rods, then 13/16". These rods also work great for rotary cleaning main trunk lines in air duct cleaning. For longer trunk lines, add some of the 3/4" rods for better control. 3/4" dia. Solid Nylon Rods w/Stainless Steel Fittings These rods are extremely durable, fairly stiff (with a slight flex) and used for power sweeping larger flues and nest removal. They have a little weight when several are connected but work well when combined with the 13/16" on taller flues. They are also a great for rotary cleaning main trunk lines in air ducts. Start with the 5/8" then add these 3/4" as you get farther down the duct.

13/16" dia. Solid Nylon Rods w/Stainless Steel Fittings These rods are extremely durable, very stiff and used for rotary cleaning larger flues, video inspection and tile breaking. These are robust when several are connected and work well as a combo with the 5/8" and 3/4" diameter rods. These rods also work well for larger main trunk lines that are fairly long or vertical air ducts and dryer ducts.

Steel Tile Breaking Rods (1/4" dia. & 5/16" HD)

1/4” dia. Tempered Steel Rods These rods are high strength steel rod designed for tile breaking and rotary glaze removal with chains and cable whips. They are the most popular dia. steel rod that most of us have been using for many years. We took them to the next level with new premium grade tempered steel and manufactured lengths that are more user friendly. These rods also work great for pizza ovens. Available in 3’, 4’ 5’ & 6’ lengths with heavy duty SnapLok® fittings

7/8" dia. Hollow Aluminum Rods These rods work great for power sweeping or tile breaking from the top. They are extremely lightweight and super durable. They are designed to be used in conjunction with our 13/16" nylon rods or steel rods for tile breaking and chain whipping. If working from the top down in a flue or duct that has an offset, use the solid nylon or steel rods first then add these lightweight aluminum rods. This will allow you to get through the offset.

The “Orbiter” Top Sealing Damper PowerWhip

Finally there’s a solution to the age old problem of rotary cleaning fireplace flues with top sealing dampers. No more using manual brushes or getting on the roof to pull the cable. Simply remove the rotary cylinder from the whip, drop the cable with the handle attached through the cylinder then slip the cable into the slot in the cable guide tube.
