Bridge the gap! Practical magic
CONSTRUCT IT Year 3 have had an amazing time constructing bridges in their Design and Technology sessions. The children explored the different types of bridges and built on that knowledge to plan, design, make and evaluate their structures. They used a variety of tools such as a junior hacksaws and clamps, as well as using the skill of measuring accurately. “It’s been both fun and challenging” Ansel 3V.
“I enjoyed using the hacksaw to cut the wood” Zaynah 3V.
“I enjoyed gluing things together and getting my hands messy!” Anna 3V. A productive bucket skill day… enjoyed by all -including the staff !
ST HILDA’S As part of Year 3’s topic links to ‘Light’; the children put on an amazing performance of songs, poems, jokes and art work @ St Hilda’s Church. It was a great pleasure and a proud moment for all, to see the children “shine” as they put on an amazing show. Well done Year 3 … you definitely were our stars!
