Cracking Capes! Stitching up!

NEEDLE AND THREAD We have been doing some sewing using running and chain stitch. Chain stitch was the hardest one out of the two! We were happy when we found out that we were doing sewing, we enjoyed it very much. We are proud that we have done this. We think our super hero capes are fabulous and think we’ve done a great job. Even Mrs Vickers had to learn how to use chain stitch and now she can fix her socks!

Thanks to Zac, Harriet, Lydia and Barney in 3V for the story.

E-BOOKS Did you know that children from Nursery up to Y3 have access to new electronic reading books? These books are matched to the sounds that children are learning in phonics or to a book band for children who have finished learning their sounds. We’d love you to log on and see if you like them! These e-books are in addition to ‘real’ books and you can download an app to make it even easier. The parent guide has been emailed to you to help.
