THE

Nurses! Visitor

HEALTHY LIVING Year 2 had a special visitor this week to complete their learning about healthy living. The children have been finding out about the impact that both Florence Nightingale and Mary Seacole had on medical care and nursing. Dr Whitelaw came in and answered many questions from the children about nursing and medical care today. The children were very curious about how times have changed and really asked some brilliant questions. We are very grateful to Dr Whitelaw for giving up her time to talk to the children today. Thanks to Mrs. Johnson for the story. STAR INTERVIEWER Over half term, Miles Vaughan Wilson in 2J went to the Hay Festival and got to interview his favourite author Jacqueline Wilson for BBC local radio! She even signed his Tracy Beaker book. You can listen to his interview on BBC Sounds: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/ p0c9sm7x He also interviewed Joe Wicks with a couple of other young reporters: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/ p0cbhlfr I hope you enjoy his interviews. He did really well! Thanks to Miles’ mum for the story. [Ed - Fantastic work - you can take over the Abbey Lens!)
