Twelve months of Cookson Adventures

ENDEM I C S P EC I E S The extraordinary Galápagos Islands have the highest level of endemism in the world, which means around 80 per cent of the land birds, 97 per cent of the reptile and land mammals, and more than 30 per cent of the plants you will see cannot be found anywhere else in the world. For birdwatchers, the chance to walk between nesting colonies of albatross, frigate birds and blue-footed boobies is not to be missed. D I V I NG & SNORK E L L I NG The Galápagos is renowned for both its diving and snorkelling, with locations to suit all levels of experience. Aquatic life is vibrant and rich, so you may find yourself surrounded by schooling sharks, above graceful rays or alongside playful dolphins. L AND ADVENTUR E Explore the volcanic nature of this region in a number of exhilarating ways, from scenic hikes up black lava flows to mountain biking through forests. We can also arrange helicopter flights to other inaccessible spots. WAT E R S POR T S The numerous beaches, bays, islets and mangroves make the Galápagos a fantastic setting for sea kayaking and paddle boarding, often with curious sea lions swimming alongside you.
