MD of Management Universiy Partnerships Programme (UPP)student accommodation is the leading provider of on-campus infrastructure and support services in partnership with UK universities. UPP is looking to establish a new division to manage the interests of its Special Purpose Companies (SPVs). UPP Management will be responsible for delivering a range of asset management services to more than 15 separate project companies and be tasked with ensuring the quality of the UPP portfolio remains both fit for purpose and attractive to students over the full term of the Group’s long term partnerships. Sector leading levels of occupancy (typically in excess of 99%) remain the key goal of the Group with UPP Management responsible for ensuring that term-time rental, and other commercial revenues are delivered in line with (or exceed) modelled expectations. UPP’s partnerships approach is at the heart of the Group’s business model and UPP Management lead and develop these relationships acting as the day to day contact with each university partner, ensuring that the delivery of services to the accommodation are maintained in line with student expectation. The role of MD of UPP Management will hold various statutory board director positions on the boards of UGL and the individual SPVs. Scope of role Accountable to the Group CEO, this is a key leadership role which will have significant impact across the UPP business. Provide leadership for all aspects of UPP Management including strategic estates and asset management, university relationship management, revenue management, marketing and allocation services, management of SPVs, monitoring of service providers to the SPVs and commercial income generation. Working closely with other Group Board colleagues to provide a comprehensive, client and customer-focused service strategy and implementation plan to support the achievement of the strategic and operational objectives of the Group.
