MICHEL LAMY michel.lamy@eap.on.ca

Cornwall a capitalisé. The hockey season is finished for the junior C clubs in Clarence Creek and Saint-Isidore. The North Dundas Rockets and the Papineau Vikings both move on to the next elimination round in the National Capital Junior Hockey League (NCJHL), after they beat the Eagles of Saint-Isidore and the Cas- tors of Clarence Creek four games to two, in the league’s second-round elimination. Saint-Isidore beat North Dundas 8-5 at home on March 13, for their second win in the elimination series between the two. Jacob Bélanger and Jérémie Lefebvre each scored two goals for Saint-Isidore while Maxime Choquette, Kyle Colette, Patrick Ranger and Nicholas Souligny tallied single points. A rematch, two days later at the Saint-Isi- dore Arena, saw the Rockets soar to a 10-2 victory with the sole goals for the home team from Jeremy Arbour and Zackary Bougie. The game between the two clubs, Saturday at the Chesterville District Arena, ended 8-4 for North Dundas, putting the Rockets ahead three games to two. It certainly wasn’t the start to the playoffs that coach Dorval expected. Down 2-0 at the beginning of the first game, the home team rallied and beat the Colts by a score of 4-3. They lost game two in Cornwall, but won game 3 in double overtime on Monday night. —photo Michel Lamy
