Volunteers lend a hand to enhance every facet of our organization. Whether working directly with patients, helping within our other programs or advocating in the community as ambassadors of our work, the compassion of our volunteers has tremendous impact on enhancing the lives of everyone we serve. We are fortunate to have 287 volunteers who contributed 13,423 hours last year to enriching the lives of those who are faced with the challenges of advanced illness.
It’s not unusual to find a volunteer comforting a patient, keeping a patient company by reading to them, or reassuring a grieving child. Volunteers give generously of their time and talent to: • Bring music to our patients • Create one-of-a-kind Cuddle Keepsakes for those who are grieving • Make our fundraising events special • Provide aromatherapy • And so much more
