When questioned re racing more forward today, rdr std that after jumping awkwardly and making contact with another rnr, his mnt raced keenly in the early stages and as a result was caught wide and without cover. Added with the moderate early pace he then elected to stride forward and race outside the leader near the 1700m rather than cover additional ground, but in his opinion this did not suit his mnt today. Performed below market expectations. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the near foreleg. 20-JUN-20 FLEM

Post race vet exam - no abnormal findings. Stable adv horse had pulled up well and conf did not handle heavy track conditions and will continue on with preparation. 05-JUL-20 WNBL Knuckled after jumping 7th obstacle awkwardly. Jumped 9th obstacle awkwardly and became unbalanced on landing. Shifted out away from another runner near the 50m. Protested unsuccessfully against 1st. 08-JUL-20 SANL
