Participating Company Profiles - Day One

For every Fortune 500, Enterprise or Government Agency releasing an application to their customer-base or partners, there is an essential need for an Identity Access Management (IAM) component. Consumer-facing IAM is this collection of functionalities that matrix user identities, types and privileges with disparate data stores, directories and compliance/ preference managers; all without compromising the security profile of the Enterprise Or- chIS.io represents a full rewrite of legacy IAM platforms, moving to a higher level develop- ment model that transitions giant monolithic products into over a dozen micro-services, mod- ernizing the codebase and reducing the deployment timelines. Orchis now offers the first Risk-based adaptive authorization policy engine for quick integration of data security feeds into risk-based authorization policies.

Company Representative: Nathanael Coffing, VP of Business Development

As Orchis co-founder, Nathanael’s extensive knowledge of the enterprise security environment has been a major driver in developing the company’s vision for the future of identity and data security. His expertise in the areas of identity and access management ex- tends from the birth of the industry to today’s rapidly evolving environment; including the emergence of a growing body of regulations that surround enterprise security. Beginning with his role as an early evangelist for strong authentication standards in the late 1990s, Nathanael’s expertise now encompasses systems architecture, network and user security, and mission-critical business processes. As Orchis' technology visionary, he has defined a unified security strategy that effectively bridges the traditional gaps between IT operations and core business operations and offers enterprises an entirely new level of protection. Prior to joining Orchis, Nathanael was CIO of SnapSportz.

Legacy security systems are too focused on malware and threat intelligence, missing real threats. Endpoint detection and response (EDR) systems have emerged, but these new systems are a pain to deploy, don’t scale and require costly expertise to use them. Outlier is an agentless endpoint analytics platform that utilizes visually powerful Knowledge Maps to replicate the non-trivial best practices of human security analysts on a massive scale. Cus- tomers can visually interact with data in graphical form to quickly understand contextual rela- tionships between user accounts, login events, hosts, IP addresses, running processes and more. Security teams become more productive to uncover suspicious behaviors, unknown threats, lateral movement, and policy violations.
