Job Description

SKILLS: (E.G. PEOPLE MANAGEMENT, STRATEGIC PLANNING, COMMUNICATION) • Essential o Demonstrable ability to lead a high performing function with credibility, demonstrate authority and accountability for actions and decisions. o Significant people management experience including the coaching and development of team members. o Ability to create vision and strategic partnerships, implement organisational vision at an operational level, define and set direction accordingly. o Ability to coordinate activities and focus team on goals and objectives; monitors progress of team towards agreed goals and takes corrective action if/when needed. o Excellent written and verbal communications skills including writing and presenting business cases and strategic papers. o Robust negotiation skills and commercial acumen. o Motivated and organised with a desire to improve performance and deliver exceptional results. o Ability to work under pressure and to deal with multiple priorities and deadlines. o Strong attention to detail and able to operate independently under broad direction. o Ability to optimise services and resources demonstrating awareness of financial issues affecting the organization and analyse financial implications before taking decisions. o Procurement, tendering and commercial experience. • Desirable o Excellent presentation skills. EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS: (BE REALISTIC WHAT DO YOU ACTUALLY NEED TO DO THIS JOB?) • Essential o Educated to Higher National Diploma in a relevant subject or to A Level standard. o Industry recognised project management qualification (eg APM) or proven track record in delivering projects in a diverse built environment. o Member of relevant professional institution. o Recognised H&S qualification (IOSH / NEBOSH). o BIFM 6/7 or significant equivalent senior level experience. • Desirable o Professional qualification or business related degree.
