In the semi-finals Harper beat Somes, while Julius beat School. A big crowd of supporters came to cheer their House team along in the final – and, in a very close match, Harper House triumphed over Julius by just two points in a countback, after they tied at three games each.

Four of our A squad members – Thimeth Wijesinghe, John Wong, Eric Liu and Lester Lai – entered the Christchurch secondary schools’ senior badminton teams championship held at the Zhu Badminton Centre. The boys were up against some quality teams, and ended the tournament placed 6th overall.
The House badminton competition, held in the gymnasium, was completed in late Term 3. In the preliminary round, Jacobs beat Richards and Corfe defeated Rolleston. The first round saw Harper eliminate Flower’s, and School defeated Condell’s. Somes won against Jacobs, and Julius eliminated Corfe.
