Last year’s LemonAID Day campaign raised an impressive $21,906. This year, organizers are aiming even higher, aiming for $30,000. If achieved, it would translate directly into more local children having the chance to attend camp and benefit from those forma- tive experiences. A major part of what makes LemonAID Day successful is the strong network of com- munity partners stepping up to support it. back to the community. I think it is a great way for families and friends to get together, and getting involved is something they will be forever glad they did. So get your kids, families and friends and make a difference.” Supporting sponsors are also helping bring the event to life in tangible ways. Wendy’s is once again providing the lemonade for all participating stands, while McBain Signs is creating vibrant, eye-catching signage to help stands stand out across the community. New Era Graphics is also contributing by producing LemonAID Day T-shirts, helping unify participants as they take part in the campaign. Together, these contributions ensure that every lemonade stand is equipped to succeed, and that as much of the money raised as possible can go directly toward sending kids to camp. LemonAID Day will take place on June 13, 2026, with approx- imately 40 lemonade stands expected to pop up across the region. Families, schools, businesses, and community groups are all encouraged to get involved, whether by running a stand, donating, or simply stopping to support a young entrepreneur in action. As Myles noted, the heart of the initiative lies in its simplicity and its impact: “It’s about community coming together, kids helping kids, families connecting with families, and local businesses giving back in meaningful ways.” Registration is now open through childrensfoundation.on.ca/ lemonaid-day, the Elgin Children’s Foundation website. In the end, LemonAID Day continues to prove that something as ordinary as lemonade can create something extraordinary: opportunity, connection, and lasting change for local children.

Speaking about their involvement, Suzie Dennis, Senior Vice President with Doug Tar- ry Homes, reflects on how the partnership began and why it continues to resonate.” Myles approached us about an event he had come across in another city and wanted to see if we were interested in bringing it to St. Thomas. My favourite part has to be the people I have met, the faces of those hosting a stand and those visiting the stands. The stories I have heard are so heartwarming.” Suzie also pointed to the creativity and enthusiasm that has grown around the event over the years. “We had people include bake sales, raffles and more to make the event even more fun.” For Suzie, the message to the broader community is straight- forward: participation matters. “It is a fun and easy way to give
