Remembrance Day The VRC is pleased to support the Victorian Branch of the Returned & Services League of Australia (RSL Victoria) to raise funds for the Annual Poppy Appeal – supporting Australian veterans and their families. Racegoers will have the opportunity to purchase a Red Poppy lapel pin from $2-$50 from on-course RSL Victoria volunteers – replacing the Red Rose as the official flower for the day. A Remembrance Day Commemorative Service will be held in the Mounting Yard at 10:50am. The service will feature a bugler sounding the Last Post, a minute of silence at 11am and a recitation of the Ode of Remembrance by Peter Smith OAM (Fundraising Manager, RSL). The Park - A kaleidoscope of fun, fashion, food, and entertainment The hottest musicians take to the Live Stage every day; Melbourne’s best pop-up restaurants serving a variety of delicious takeaway; and the live racing action continues on the big screen. The Park is located on The Hill and adjacent to the train station.
