Katy began as an assistant with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Meadows Mountain Realty, but quickly realized she loved it and decided to obtain her real estate license. Katy has always enjoyed helping people and solving mysteries. To Katy, real estate is the ultimate puzzle; finding the perfect home for a client is one of the greatest challenges with the reward of knowing she helped someone else find their own slice of heaven in these mountains.
MITZI RAUERS Having spent 20 years involved in the medical field as a respiratory therapist and owner of a successful respiratory equipment company, Mitzi sold her business in 2007. Armed with a lifetime affection for small town charm, she went off in search of her dream destination. And, as a result of many weekend visits to Highlands along with her

husband Hammond, who is the co-owner of Franklin Ford in Franklin, they eventually bought their permanent home in Highlands Country Club. In the years following their move, while enjoying the wonderful restaurants, arts, plays and social environment of Highlands, they have also become deeply involved in all aspects of this small community… participating, donating and serving in leadership capacities for numerous civic and charitable organizations. Prior to moving to Highlands, utilizing her talent for decorating and design, Mitzi and Hammond have shared their passion for buying and renovating older homes in several southern communities including Charleston, SC and Gainesville, GA. Mitzi’s experience in sales, marketing and attention to customer service coupled with her extensive knowledge and enthusiasm for real estate investing, restoration and décor made her move into full-time real estate sales a natural. Mitzi did an exhaustive search for the real estate firm that was the best fit for her and she loves being a part of the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Meadows Mountain Realty team!
M.C. PUSCH M.C. (Mary Cobb) grew up in Atlanta where she graduated from The Lovett School. She then attended the University of Georgia and obtained her nursing degree. After college, M.C. headed west to Denver, Colorado. She was a NICU nurse there for 15 years and married her high school sweetheart, Kurt Pusch. The Pusch clan quickly grew and gratefully they have four young children, ages 4-10.

M.C. and her family moved to Cashiers in 2019, as her husband is Head of School at Summit Charter School. Being closer to family and getting to live in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains is a dream come true for their family. The love for the outdoors that took them to Colorado still resonates with them here with their love for hiking, fishing, camping and all the lake activities! M.C. feels that the plateau is truly a gem and a wonderful place to raise a family. M.C. decided to get her NC real estate license soon after they arrived in Cashiers. She saw this as a great opportunity for a career change as she has always had a passion for real estate. She grew up around the business, as her mom has been a Realtor for the last 35 years in Atlanta and north Georgia lakes area.
