BAMFACILITIESMANAGEMENT LTD - SWORDSPAVILIONS SHOPPING CENTRE, LEDLIGHTINGUPGRADE

The 2020 award for Medium Commercial Project of the Year went to BAM Facilities Management for the Swords Pavilions Shopping Centre LED Lighting Upgrade Project. BAM FM were responsible for the design, supply, installation and commissioning of the new LED Lighting System, including the removal and replacement / retrofit of approximately 4,000 light fittings throughout the Centre, one of the largest projects of its kind in Ireland. Works were completed during peak Christmas trading with no disruption to the Centre’s operations at any stage. High- quality LED fittings, with highly sophisticated lighting controls, were installed delivering annual energy savings of 1.37million kWh per annum and a reduction of approximately 500tonnes CO2 per annum. CMG Electrical Ltd was awarded Small Commercial Project of the Year at Ireland’s Electrical Awards 2020 for their stellar work on a project for Total Produce in Balbriggan, Co. Dublin. The Co. Donegal based company is well known for their vast range of experience on commercial installations that includes warehouses with controlled temperature rooms, pharmaceutical fit outs, clean room laboratories, retail outlets, offices, government buildings, schools, hospitals, universities and more. This combined M&E project with PowerTech Refrigeration seen CMG Electrical wiring the internal and external lighting, emergency rapid raise doors and also wiring six coolers in store rooms and a condenser at rear of the building.
