INUKA Jubilee InTouch 2020

My Journey to Personal Growth

HOW DID YOU PLAN TO GROW YOUR BUSINESS TO DIAMOND STATUS?

HOW DO YOU MOTIVATE YOUR TEAM TO WORK FOR THE INUKA QUARTERLY AND ANNUAL CHALLENGES?

I joined the INUKA Business in October 2017. My friend, Toleka Ludidi, shared the INUKA 90 Day Plan with me, amongst other things, and that caught my attention. I was sold and she then became my Upline. My plan was to follow the INUKA 90 Day Plan which I did effortlessly, and I became an Emerald leader by January 2018. Unfortunately following that, my business took a turn for the worst after a couple of months. I was stuck at Emerald Status for 14 months. I had to plan to try and turn things around and part of that plan was to focus on my PERSONAL GROWTH. This did not mean neglecting my team, but I realized that I need to fully understand the INUKA 6 Ways to Earn and Benefit. I had to fully understand and appreciate the POWER OF PROFIT. I realized that for the team to be a success, I had to let the team witness me leading by personal example and achieving success instead of me preaching the way and not achieving myself. This was a gradual process, but it worked, and WE made it to Sapphire level. Moving from Sapphire to Diamond Status was no smooth sailing either. It took us 11 months. My team was growing steadily in numbers and achievements. They too started to see the POWER OF PROFIT and the success that will follow when they do the personal selling and introduce new members to their teams. This phase really taught me the importance of personal growth to be able to successfully mentor my team. I had to first lead by my example of personal sales and personally introducing more team members. The team first needs to see that these actions lead to your success and profits and they will follow in our footsteps.

As mentioned above, you first need to lead by your personal example and work towards every challenge. Sometimes I win and sometimes I fail. But every time that I share the stage with my team members, it really makes me proud. We celebrate every win. I was also very, very proud to attend the INUKA Top 100 Business Leaders VIP Annual Dinner with some of my team members. BY THIS STAGE, YOU HAVE A HUGE DOWNLINE. HOW DO YOU MOTIVATE YOUR GROUP AND STAY IN TOUCH WITH EVERYONE IN THE GROUP? We use social media to recruit. This means that 80% - 90% of our team is made up of strangers with different backgrounds and understanding of the business. Patience is KEY in this business. Without patience, things can be difficult and frustrating which may lead to people giving up. You need to keep trying new and different strategies. One must always realize that what worked last quarter or with the last group of new members might not necessarily work in the next quarter or with the next group. Talking to other leaders also helps as you can learn new ways of approaching your business. DO YOU HAVE A ROLE MODEL AND IF SO, WHY IS THIS PERSON YOUR ROLE MODEL? My mother is my role model. I have learned a lot from her. She is a former businesswoman. Many of her teachings help me in running my own business. Amongst everything she has taught me the most important lesson is to push yourself while you are still young. So that one day, when your age or health does not allow you to work anymore, you can sit down, relax, and enjoy the fruits of your labour. She is a true example of this, and I love her very much.

WHAT DO YOU THINK IS YOUR GREATEST STRENGTH?

My greatest strength is in personal sales. Yes, recruitment and sales go hand in hand, but I had to teach myself to understand the difference between the two. What sets sales apart from recruitment for me is the fact that whether you have a team or not, or whether your team is working or not, your sales solely depend on YOU, not the team. You have full control of how many sales you make and I just love being in control.

HOW DO YOU PUSH THROUGH YOUR MOST CHALLENGING TIMES?

What keeps me going when the going gets tough is my "WHY" and my reasons to have a successful and reliable INUKA Business. I have many reasons, but the most important reason is my son, Xola. I am teaching him the power that comes with working for yourself. I am teaching him that women can run their own businesses and become independent. I am teaching him UBUNTU from running my INUKA Business. I did not start my INUKA Business to play small. I have a very big "WHY" and that is what keeps me going no matter how hard it gets. I have never taken a break and I am not planning to.
