HEALTH SERVICES The Student Health Cente r provides confidential health servi ces for a ll registe red students. The facilit y is located directl y across from the library. Consultation with a ph ysician or a nurse is free; however. the re is a fee for medications or spe­ cific treatments. Payment is re4 uired at the time of each visit - hy cash, check or credit card . Spouses of enrolled students are e ligible for services at the Student Health Cente r for an office fee of $35. No children 's services are available. Treat­ ments, immuni zations, allergy serum injections. physica ls (class B, employment. entrance, sport~), PAP smears, laboratory serv­ ices. minor surgeries and EKG's avai lable at an add itional cost. Self-Care Program There are 22 items ava il ab le in the Health Cente r wait­ ing room for self care at no additiona l charge. FOOD SERVICE Biola provides excellent food service for all students. A wide va ri e ty of entrees, sa ndwi ches, soups, fr esh fruits , bread, beverages, and desserts is offered. The food service staff will work out individual programs for students with specia l dietary requirements or weight reduction programs prescribed by a ph ysicia n. A variety of meal plans are ava ilable. All students living in the residence hall s a re required to choose either a 10-, 12-, 15- or 20-meal plan ; or a I0-. 12-, 15- or 20-flex-meal plan. (The numbers indicated are mea ls per week.) A "flex" plan is 10, 12, 15 or 20 meal s per week at Cafe Biola, our dining room, plus "flex points" to purchase additional meals either at Cafe Biola, the Eagles' Nest, our on-campus coffee shop. or Common Grounds, our coffee house. There is a 5-meal plan and a 5-flex-mea l plan which are pro vided on ly for commuter s tudent s o r stud e nt s who reside in the Biola apa rtments. DUPLICATING CENTER The Biola Duplicating Center, loca ted on the McNally Campu s. is available to students, staff, faculty and the pub­ li c. The duplicating center has hi gh-speed duplicating equipment and ca n do a va riety of jobs. including thermal bind ing, tabs. covers, color copying, color posters and ban­ ners, etc. Our prices a re genera ll y lower than off-campus dup li cat ing stores. There is also an afte r-h ours drop box loca ted outside of the duplicating center. BOOKSTORE The Biola Bookstore is open Monday through Saturday for the convenience of the students, faculty, staff and public. All req uired textbooks, as well as general books and supplies, are ava il ab le. T he Bookstore has a large selection of C hristi an hooks and offers Bibles in a variety of styles and bindings at substantial discounts. Biola insignia clothing and a large selec­ tion of g reetin g cards, school supplies , dorm-room furniture/accessories, gift items and music. The bookstore wel­ comes special orders via its l-8(Xl-MY-BIOLA phone line. For a fee, Fax messages may be sent or received at the Bookstore and a qu ick-turnaround photo development service is provided. A convenience store (located inside the bookstore) contains a gen­ erous selection of soft drinks, juices, yogurts, ice cream. snacks and candies. Computer Store Located within the Bookstore, the Biola Computer Store exists to aid students with the ir academic programs. The Com­ puter Store offers exceptional pricing on Apple Macintosh prod­ uct~ through a special agreement with Apple Computers, Inc.
