Near the 2000m when over racing was steadied when tightened for room between runners, which shifted in. Near the 800m was bumped by another runner which in turn had been carried in. settle where comfortable. Std with genuine tempo of race in early stages he was unable to hold a midfield position & consequently settled towards rear. Std on straightening he shifted inwards to improve, but near 300m was obliged to shift outwards to make his run, but near 250m was again obliged to shift inwards. Added mnt then commenced to close off race well from the 150m, but near the 100m became held up before shifting out into a run near the 50m, & was unable to be fully tested over the concluding stages.
