ACROST IC The following verses pertain in some way to "children.“ Hidden away in each verse is a word which begins with a letter found in the word "children." Find these words, place the letters in order and you will have the word "children." C "Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right" (Eph. 6 : 1 ). H "Come, ye chilren, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the Lord" (Psa. 34:11). I "And they brought unto him also infants, that he would touch them" (Luke 18:15). L "But Jesus said, Suffer little chil dren, and forbid them not, to come unto me; for of such is the kingdom of heaven' (Matt. 19: 14). D "Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven" (Matt. 18:10). R "A n d whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me" (Matt. 18:5). E "Even a child is known by his doing, whether his work be pure, and whether it be right" (Prov. 20:1 1). N "Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish" (Matt. 18:14). EDITORIAL (continued from page 6) If we are wrong in being fearful that these conditions ultimately can be imposed upon us as American citi zens, we have lost nothing. But, if we are right in being thus apprehen sive and do nothing about it, then we will be negligent in our duty and eventually we will lose everything. This latter alternative is too fright ening to contemplate. We would far rather be wrong in our fears and let these fears be known than to be right in our fears and keep silent concerning them. The editors of this magazine cer tainly do not intend to turn it into a political forum, but whenever poli tics touch upon our spiritual heri tage, life and convictions, then we intend to speak out and let our voices be heard in defense o f our faith and in defense o f our Christian liberty to the end that we might be able to continue to proclaim the unsearch able riches o f Jesus Christ. Never were thé immortal words, “ Eternal vigilance is the price o f liberty” more applicable than they are today.
