Space Planning & Projects Co-ordinator Job Purpose
Responsible for managing and supporting the Space Management, Project Delivery and other Estates functions by undertaking analysis of space use, effectiveness, efficiency and cost, developing and administering systems and processes for providing key space data, undertaking development and management of Minor projects (£0-75k), performance and related information, administering CAD functions, facilitating more informed strategic decision making. Key areas • Manage and support the development of space management processes supported e.g. by analysis of space use, effectiveness, efficiency and cost. • Manage, support and assist Space management and Project delivery requirements through the provision of accurate, timely and up to date space data and related information. • Development and management of Minor projects (£0-75k) as part of space planning requests and project delivery requirements. • Collate, analyse, interpret and present data to inform strategic decision making in respect of space utilisation and related performance metrics/benchmarks. • Assist in the development and management of space records, working closely with teams across Estates; Main duties and responsibilities The postholder will: • Manage and support in the development of strategic space management options and their feasibility, identifying suitable space and its potential to meet client departments’ changing needs; • Maintain, monitor and improve the comprehensiveness and accuracy of data on current space allocations; • Manage and analyse space records and analyse utilisation and space data; produce reports with recommendations as required; • Liaise with School/Faculty representatives to assist in identifying space demand; develop options and assess their feasibility. • Manage the development and delivery of assigned Minor projects (£0-75k), through all or some stages as required, and assist in the management and development of larger scale projects;
