Gifted! at the Arbor Gallery

“There are so many wonderful things for sale here. There are some great things here for Christmas gifts. I just love the pottery. It is just exquisite.” More than just an art gallery Admission to the Arbor Gallery is free. However, a donation of $2 is welcomed and guided tours are available with a re- servation. The gallery hosts several events throughout the year including the upco- ming Art Scramble on November 29, The Speaker Series, which runs weekly from Ja- nuary to April, as well as several art courses o!ered for everyone from kids to seniors. The Arbor Gallery is located at 36 Home Avenue in Vankleek Hill. More information is available at www. arborgallery.org.

VANKLEEK HILL | The annual holiday ex- hibition being held at the Arbor Gallery is underway with plenty of items for holiday gift giving. The exhibition began October 30 and will run until December 14, o!ering numerous gift items such as pottery, jewel- lery, small artwork, and artisanal gifts. This is the most happening small town anywhere,” said Dana Johnston, one of the volunteers at the Arbor Gallery. “Vankleek Hill is a great little town.” Items from local artists are available for purchase with proceeds going toward the upkeep of the gallery. “It costs $65 a day to keep the gallery going,” said Johnston.

L’Orignal Food Bank needs your help

at the L’Orignal Food Bank.“FromFriday, De- cember 19 in the morning right up until De- cember 24.” Anstey said hours are "exible, with weekday hours running from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and weekend hours from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Beverages will be provi- ded for volunteers and students wishing to earn community service hours can apply this event to their hourly earnings.
