And luxury is a tradition here. On these islands golf is played on a course dating back to 1922, when it was consi- dered one of the world’s biggest and most beauti- ful courses. As many as 71 different extra virgin olive oils from Istria are included on lists of the world’s top olive oils, thanks to this region having some of the most advanced olive oil making techniques in history.
