Eleven youths from the 2nd Russell Scouts troop have recently returned from their trip to the 2013 Canadian Jamboree which was held in Sylvan Lake, Alberta. There were 19 local attendess, including Scouts from Greely and leaders from both troops. They have been fundraising for over two years to make this “lifetime opportu- nity” come true. “Many participants had never been out of the province or on an airplane,” says leader Bill Goodwin. “The days were long due to number of activities as well as a northern latitude in July.” The camp had an appropriately Albertan dinosaur theme. The Russell Scouts sub- camp was named Raptor and the camp mascot was Albertosaurus. Over 6500 peo-

Débutant à la mi-août, Hydro Ottawa entreprendra un projet visant à remplacer et mettre à niveau les infrastructures vieillissantes de la sous-station Casselman situé sur la rue Racine. Nous prévoyons que les travaux seront terminés à l’été 2014. Nous n’anticipons pas de pannes de courant pendant ce projet. Par contre, si nous devons procéder à une interruption de courant planifiée pour entreprendre certains travaux en toute sécurité, vous recevrez un avis au préalable. Hydro Ottawa prendra toutes les mesures nécessaires pour atténuer les pannes de courant, le bruit de la construction et les inquiétudes au niveau de la circulation. Nous apprécions votre patience. Nous nous excusons de tout inconvénient que ces importants travaux pourraient engendrer.
Starting in mid-August, Hydro Ottawa will be undertaking a project to replace and upgrade aging infrastructure at our Casselman Substation located on Racine Street. This initiative is scheduled to be completed by the summer of 2014. No power outages are expected to occur as a result of this work. Should a planned power interruption be necessary in order to complete this work safely, customers will receive advance notification. Hydro Ottawa will take steps to mitigate any power disruptions, construction noise and traffic concerns. Your patience is appreciated. We apologize for any inconvenience this vital work may cause.
