Each incident was investigated by the locally responsible teams. The reasons behind workplace accidents are identified and actions are taken to minimise or eliminate them. Where necessary, immediate action is also taken. Work-related accidents are broken down into four categories: employee misconduct; workplace evaluation incom- plete or inadequate; workplace evaluation missing or not identified; and unforeseeable. Most work-related accidents have been classified by local managers as falling into the categories ‘unforeseeable’ and ‘emp- loyee misconduct’, making it challenging to avoid such incidents. Key issues arising from accidents and near- misses are identified and communicated both locally and globally. The aim is to raise awareness of potential hazards across all sites and to encourage proactive implemen- tation of improvement measures.
Reported cases have revealed that internal logistics processes entail certain risks. Actions to prevent such incidents and to raise awareness have been taken, and the potential risks are monitored on an ongoing basis. Just as in the previous financial year, there were no fatalities as a result of work-related injuries in the 2025/26 financial year. The Zumtobel Group’s LTI (Lost Time Injury) rate is calculated as the number of work-related accidents resulting in lost time of more than eight hours x 1,000,000 divided by the number of hours worked and therefore re- presents the rate of recordable work-related accidents in accordance with ESRS.
