Health and safety metrics [S1-14]
By continuously monitoring and assessing these metrics, it is ensured that the Zumto- bel Group’s actions not only help to improve the general health of its own workforce but also create a safe and productive work en- vironment. Compliance with statutory and voluntary obligations to which the Zumtobel Group is subject forms an integral part of the IMS and is ensured through regular internal and external audits.
The percentage of own workforce cove- red by a health and safety management system is calculated by dividing the num- ber of workers at ISO-certified sites by the total number of own employees. This ratio matches the total number stated under S1-6. The metrics on the number and rate of re- cordable work- related accidents include the Zumtobel Gorup’s own workforce at the pro- duction sites as well as all persons working at these sites. Work-related accidents at the sales locations are not material compared with operational production sites and would change the rate accordingly. As in 2024/25, figures on work-related ill health and days lost due to work-related injuries have not been disclosed for the 2025/26 reporting year on account of the phase-in option under CSRD/ESRS. The days lost due to work-related accidents are reported by the Zumtobel Group in the table below under the ‘accident severity’ metric in accordance with the ILO standard. The accident severity metric is calculated based on the number of days lost x 1,000,000 / number of hours wor- ked. According to ESRS, days of absence refer to calendar days, i.e. days on which the person in question is not scheduled to work (e.g. weekends, public holidays). The number of work-related accidents at the production sites fell to 24 in the 2025/26 reporting year (previous year: 29 accidents); the target number of work-related accidents was therefore achieved. Due to the lower number of hours worked, an LTI rate of 4.53 was recorded, falling just short of the target of 4.1.
Targets related to the health and safety of the Group’s own workforce [S1-5]
S1-5, T2 | LTI rate (lost time injury rate): With a focus on minimising workplace accidents, the Zumtobel Group has set itself a target of achieving an LTI rate of 3.6 for the 2026/27 financial year. This figure includes the Group’s own workforce at its production sites. Potential work-related accidents at the sales locations are not considered material compared with operational production sites and would change the target and rate ac- cordingly. In the 2025/26 reporting year, the Zumtobel Group had an LTI rate of 4.5.
Targets achieved in 2025/26:
Last year’s target of achieving an LTI rate of 4.1 was not achieved. A more detailed de- scription of this can be found in the section ‘Health and safety metrics [S1-14]’. A more detailed description can be found in the section entitled 'Metrics for health and safety [S1-14]'.
