UN Global Compact
In connection with its efforts on behalf of sustainability, the Zumtobel Group supports the prin- ciples of the world’s largest initiative for corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainable development. The company joined the United Nations Global Compact in 2020 and thereby confirmed its intention to comply with the ten principles on human rights, labour standards, environmental protection and the fight against corruption. This commitment to responsible management was renewed in 2023/24 with our annual pro- gress report (COP-Communication on Progress) based on the UN Global Compact and informs all relevant stakeholders of the activities and progress in implementing these ten principles. The current version of the progress report is available for download on the Zumtobel Group’s sustainability website.
UN Sustainable Development Goals
The Zumtobel Group actively supports the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including their 169 associated targets. It is important to note that not all 17 goals are equally relevant to the Company. Therefore, the relevance of each SDG to the Zumtobel Group was assessed, and an eva- luation of the positive and negative impacts on the relevant goals was conducted across the entire value chain. This assessment was carried out with the objective of strengthening the positive impacts of the Company's activities while minimizing potential negative impacts. A clear connection to the Zumtobel Group’s business activities has been identified for 13 of the 17 SDGs. The following SDGs are considered particu- larly relevant to the Zumtobel Group in the context of its sustainable business activities and are reflected in the implementation of related initiatives and measures:
