The aim is to steadily reduce energy con- sumption and, as a result, GHG emissions. This makes an active contribution to mitiga- ting climate change and, consequently, to the Zumtobel Group’s Net-Zero target. The codes of conduct fall under the responsibili- ty of the Management Board. More informa- tion on the Code of Conduct and the Code of Conduct for Business Partners can be found in the section ‘Business conduct policies and corporate culture [G1-1]'.
Actual negative impact on the environment: Use of non-renewable energy along the supply chain & energy consumption from the use of Zumtobel Group products (by customers) and energy consumption for manufacturing.

Energy policy
An active environmental and energy ma- nagement system forms an integral part of the Zumtobel Group’s integrated manage- ment system. The energy policy lays down principles and objectives related to energy efficiency. These principles serve as a guide for the Group’s own workforce in their day- to-day activities, thereby raising awareness of the need to use resources sustainably. The Group’s energy policy has been appro- ved by the Management Board and can be found on the Group’s website for all internal and external stakeholders. Operational implementation is driven by global and local management teams. However, all emp- loyees contribute to achieving the energy targets. By receiving ISO 50001 certifica- tes, accredited certification partners have verified the effectiveness and continuous improvement of the integrated management system in place within the Zumtobel Group. The Zumtobel Group considers that ongoing improvement of energy-related performance and increasing the share of renewable ener- gy will make a major contribution to careful, efficient use of resources.
Actions and resources in relation to energy [E1-3]
The actions outlined below were initiated and implemented in the 2025/26 financial year. Key actions directly linked to the decar- bonisation levers in Scopes 1 and 2 of the Climate Transition Plan, which will lead to both energy savings and emissions reducti- ons, are set out following. The Zumtobel Group continues to pur- sue its objective of equipping its fleet with electric vehicles. By the 2025/26 financial year, 13% of the entire fleet had already been converted to electric vehicles (2024/25: 11%). Fleet development (global): • The proportion of renewable electri- city at the Shenzhen plant currently stands at 32.3%. A total of 1,000 MWh of renewable energy was purchased, which corresponds to a reduction of 531 tCO₂e. Shenzhen (CN): •
Code of Conduct
The Zumtobel Group not only demonstrates its efforts to improving sustainability per- formance in its own business activities but is continually expanding its commitment to due diligence in relation to energy efficiency throughout the entire value chain. By signing the Code of Conduct for Business Part- ners, all business partners are required to continuously improve the energy efficiency of their production processes and products.
